Ralph Braun Foundation: Helping People with Disabilities Afford Modified Vehicles

If you have tried and tried to save up money for a modified vehicle, but have been unable to afford one, the Ralph Braun Foundation may be the solution to your problem. From July 15th until midnight on September 15th, applications will be accepted for grants to individuals who need help purchasing a modified vehicle. Grant recipients will receive $5,000.00 towards the purchase of a modified vehicle.

In order to apply, one must go through an evaluation with a certified mobility dealer to determine their transportation needs. Pricing must be established, and the individual must be able to produce most of the purchase amount, but remain short of the total amount. Applications are submitted in conjunction between the applicant and his/her mobility dealer, who must be a member in good standing of the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association. Grants will be awarded on October 1, 2012 and must result in an equipment sale by December 1, 2012.
